• A doula is a trained professional who provides practical, emotional and informational support to families during pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Their focus is supporting the Mother personally and ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, cared for and empowered.

  • Some people like to book as early as 12 weeks. I recommend you book by the second trimester. Early booking allows us to establish a relationship and ensure the care you receive is personalised and thorough. However, it is never too late to get in touch and see if I have availability!

  • Yes. I travel to you when contractions are regular and I offer continuous support, meaning I’m with you even when medical staff rotate shifts or home birth midwives are not present.

  • Yes! I provide continuous emotional and physical support, no matter which setting you decide you want to birth. This support is invaluable in a hospital setting. I act as a bridge between you and the medical staff, ensuring your autonomy is respected. All study’s prove that having a doula with you during birth is associated with improved birth outcomes, a shorter labour and increased satisfaction with the overall birth experience.

  • Yes! A positive birth does not always mean a vaginal birth. In my opinion, it is one where you feel seen, heard and respected. I provide calm and empowering c section plans (whether planned or unplanned) and I am able to provide that personalised support that can often be difficult for busy hospital staff to provide you consistently.

  • My support is not limited to a particular kind of birth and my role is to support the Mother’s wishes. I offer evidenced based information throughout our sessions and empower you to make decisions you feel are best for you and your baby.

  • The unwavering trust I have in women and birth. While doctors read monitors, I read what the Mother needs without her having to tell me. My superpower is changing the energy in the room and helping you to believe in yourself as much as I do.
